In 1958, an American International film, Night of the Blood Beast,
depicted an invasion from space theme that possibly influenced the recent
Alien films that were to follow. A human being could become the host for
growing alien embryos. The Cinema Art Models Blood Beast and Astronaut kit
depicts that moment of conflict where the impregnated astronaut struggles
with the creature after learning that the beast plans to sacrifice him and
intends their offspring to dominate the earth.
At 11 inches, the 1/6th scale resin double figure kit is cast in five pieces and includes fibers to create a further realistic look to the highly textured skin of the beast. The kit is limited to 300 casts and is a wonderfully dynamic sculptural quality masterpiece by Bruce Turner.
